A surgeon or internist reviews the history, imaging and bloodwork, and tells you whether further tests are needed.
Step 3 — Treatment recommendation and quote
We provide a clear treatment recommendation and a fixed quote whenever clinically possible, before you commit to travelling.
Step 4 — Planning your visit
Our team helps coordinate the treatment dates and your visit to Madrid, including arrival, transport and accommodation guidance.
Step 5 — Treatment in Madrid
Your pet is examined in person, treated at our 24-hour veterinary hospital and monitored by veterinary staff throughout.
Step 6 — Discharge and follow-up
We provide discharge instructions, medical reports and follow-up information in English for your veterinarian at home.
Not every patient is a candidate for treatment abroad. Whether travelling is appropriate depends on the veterinary assessment of your pet's condition.

Medical records, documentation and follow-up
Before treatment we ask for the clinical history, imaging files, laboratory results and current medication. On discharge you receive a written report, imaging, medication instructions and a follow-up plan in English, so that your own veterinarian can continue the care once you are home. We remain available to your veterinarian by email during the recovery period.

Frequently asked questions
Is my pet a candidate for treatment in Madrid?
That depends entirely on the clinical assessment. Some conditions are best treated locally, especially unstable emergency patients. We review the records you send and tell you honestly whether travelling is reasonable for your pet.
How long should I stay in Madrid?
For most surgical cases we suggest planning around one week, so that pre-operative tests, treatment and at least one recheck happen before you travel home. The exact recommendation is made per case.
Can my pet fly home after surgery?
Usually yes, once the attending veterinarian considers the patient fit to travel. We issue the health documentation needed for the journey and advise on airline requirements.
Will I know the cost before travelling?
We provide a written quote whenever the case allows it. Some cases require in-person examination or further diagnostics before a final figure can be confirmed, and we say so clearly.
What documentation do you provide?
A full clinical and surgical report, imaging, discharge instructions and follow-up recommendations in English, plus the official travel documentation required for the return journey.
Does someone speak English?
Yes. Case coordination, consultations and all written reports are available in English.
